Budget

One of the first steps in managing your money wisely is to create a budget. Check out some of these tips to help you with your budget!

General Expenses

For a general idea of expenses as a MSU student, take a look at the Cost of Attendance. Costs such as tuition/fees, room, and board will be charged by the university, while books, transportation, and personal expenses will be charged by outside entities.

Budgeting Apps

Free and convenient smart phone apps can help you reach your budget goals. Apps like Mint or Level Money connect to your bank accounts and credit cards to help you track your budget and spending habits. They do not store personal information, so your information is safe if you lose your phone.

Build Your Budget

Making a budget can help you track where your money is going each month.
